Mars e&p is an indigenous, wholly Nigerian oil and gas exploration & production company with full delivery capacity across the entire upstream oil and gas value chain. Our foundation is built on a clear and sustainable technical & financial strategy, whilst deploying world class services that ensure safe exploration and production from conventional offshore and unconventional oil assets.

We provide our clients with expertise across engineering procurement and construction (EPC); leveraging joint venture partners in the process of location and exploration of oil and gas—ensuring to leverage valuable data analytics.

Our Team

Abdullahi Bashir Haske

A self-made serial entrepreneur, private investor and philanthropist, Abdullahi Bashir Haske is the Group Managing Director of AA & R Investment Group currently serving as Chairman of several companies including Haske & Williams Limited (a pioneer company in Nigeria’s evolving commercial agriculture sector), Etihad Trading Ltd, Etihad Energy Limited and Etihad Oilfield Services Ltd.

Haske commenced his business career in 2005 as a general contractor, offering services to various sectors of the Nigerian economy including oil and gas, construction and public procurement and has grown his business idea into a full-fledged conglomerate operating across several sectors of the Nigerian and African economy. Haske earned a diploma in political science from the University of Abuja, Nigeria and has done numerous business courses locally and globally.

Abdulrahman Bashir Haske

Abdulrahman Bashir Haske is Executive Director at AA & R Investment Group. He is also the Executive Director at Haske & Williams Company and leads the company’s Northern Region operations out of the Yola Office.

Abdulrahman is a skilled IT professional with years of experience in software architectures, web technologies and applications with a focus on Information Security and Assurance. He is also a proven team leader and communications expert, honed via various leadership roles at his alma mater, American University of Nigeria including Polo Club President and Assistant Director, Academics.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (Concentration Security and Assurance) from the American University of Nigeria and is currently concluding an MSc. In Computer Science from the Nigerian Turkish Nile University, Abuja.

Pascal Nnamdi Madufor

Mr Madufor is a geologist and petroleum chemist with over 15 years experience working on different projects across Nigeria.

He has a Bachelors Degree in Geology and Masters in Petroleum Geology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Market Overview

Nigeria is one of the largest and oldest oil producers in Africa, with the oil and gas sector accounting for more than 90% of the most important sector’s in the country’s economy and a good part of the Government’s revenue.

This sector is composed of upstream (exploration, drilling and production of crude oil including the premium bonny light crude), midstream (transportation & refining of crude oil) and downstream (importation, storage and distribution of petroleum products—premium motor spirit(PMS), automotive gas oil and dual purpose kerosene.

At the moment, the country produces oil and liquids from over 220 fields, most of which are relatively small and have an average production less than 10,000b/d. Condensate and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) are often mixed with crude oil at the field facilities prior to evacuation, hence it is not possible to obtain the precise split of these fractions.

As conventional land sources for crude oil are becoming more challenging to develop, the deep water basins off the shores of the West African sub-region represents an important vista to explore. Even though exploring the full potential of offshore fields in the sub-region (Niger Delta to the Benin Basin) looks like a daunting task to undertake, the possible rewards for doing so, are significant. This is because, Deep water exploration is expected to significantly improve the number of barrels from Nigeria in the next 10 years.

However, drilling activities in the country are ramping up and is expected to continue on account of recent and upcoming projects. As a country ranked 11th in the world overall for oil production capacity and in 2010 produced roughly 2.45 million barrels per day, with aggressive exploration and innovative extraction techniques, we are keen to keep the oil flowing for a world in need of energy.
